It certainly has been a while since I’ve done a top 10 list, which I apologise for. But, I’m back, and what better way to make a return than with a superhero themed list! Normally I open my reviews with some kind of description that feels like a suitable introduction to the film. In my head this would help those who don’t really know much about it. But this is different – this is Jurassic World.
Disaster porn – San Andreas review
Disaster flicks are surprisingly difficult to get right. As simple as you may think it is, it has to be just right to keep our attention. Look at The Day After Tomorrow; special effects were great, but the story was a bit dull and the film itself got boring in its second act. However, I’m glad to be able to say that after viewing San Andreas, I’m very pleased.

I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for horror remakes. As a wee boy I watched films like The Ring and The Grudge, and obviously I was terrified. Even to this day I find them pretty creepy. An experience: Boyhood review
How can I introduce Boyhood? I could compare it to other films, or think of a witty introductory comment. But when it comes to Boyhood, this is unnecessary. It is incomparable.
