Jennifer Lawrence has become one of the world’s most famous actresses in recent years. Following performances in The Hunger Games, Silver Linings Playbook and also recent X-Men films, it will come as no surprise she is very much in demand. Fortunately for those wanting her for their movies, her X-Men contract is up after X-Men Apocalypse, and she has said it’ll be her last film in the franchise.
Whilst on the red carpet, MTV asked her about this very topic, and said she herself considers this to be her last film. She told MTV: “It is my last one, actually.”
Her fellow cast members, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender, are also in very high in demand, as well as their contracts also being up next year. It really isn’t a surprise that they all may head off after Apocalypse, with Nicholas Hoult also suggesting this could be the end for him.

Lawrence plays the part of Mystique in the franchise. The story of Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Mystique has been reported to be a big part of the next film, although with the new mutants coming in such as Cyclops, Storm, Nightcrawler etc, it wouldn’t be ridiculous for the director Bryan Singer to wrap it up. The new mutants could have a major impact on the series in future, perhaps meaning significant characters like Professor X could get less screen time.
X-Men Apocalypse will see the mutants in the 1980s going up against the mighty villain ‘Apocalypse’ played by Oscar Isaac. The film will start shooting next week, and is set for May 16 release in 2016.
