The Film Pick: The Raid 2
The first in this martial arts saga seems remarkably low tempo after watching the sequel. Simply put, no other action epic has been so perfectly choreographed. The finest, blood-soaked spectacular ever made.
The TV Pick: Daredevil
Forgetting Agents of Shield, Daredevil is considered a pillar of the MCU’s TV roster, with good reason too. Dark, gritty, honing in on violence and character studies equally, it retains the charm of a comic-book outing while feeling refreshingly new. Season 2’s Punisher arc, also the best portrayal of the character by Jon Bernthal, is a show highlight.
The Game Pick: Journey (PS3/PS4)
Forget the mainstream first person shooters and football games. Journey is an entirely different entity; a calm, soothing adventure to an ominous mountain in the distance, a journey of self discovery, joy and despair, a modern masterpiece that touched a place in my heart no game has ever managed before. Unmissable.
